The terms that apply when you book work with us. Last updated October 2026.
Who we are
SmartWired Electrical Contractor Ltd, company no. 13288771, registered in England and Wales. Trading address: Mabgate Business Centre, 93-99 Mabgate, Leeds LS9 7DR.
Quotes and prices
We give you a written, fixed price before work starts, based on the survey. If we find something during the job that wasn’t visible at survey and changes the work, we tell you and agree any extra cost with you before doing it. Prices include VAT unless stated otherwise.
Deposits
A £99 deposit secures your install date for board changes, rewires and EV chargers, including finance customers. It comes off your final bill. If our survey or video check shows we can’t carry out the work, we refund the deposit in full.
Payment
Unless agreed otherwise, the balance is due on completion. If you pay through 0% finance, the finance agreement is between you and PayItMonthly Ltd, and their terms apply to it.
Your right to cancel
If you book with us at home or remotely, you can cancel within 14 days of agreeing the contract without giving a reason. If you ask us to start within those 14 days and then cancel, we may charge for work already done. To cancel, call or email us.
Guarantees
Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. Products carry the manufacturer’s warranty, which is up to 3 years on our EV chargers. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
OZEV grants
Grant eligibility is confirmed before installation. If OZEV doesn’t approve a grant claim because of information you gave us that turns out to be incorrect, the grant amount becomes payable by you.
Access and safety
Please give us safe access to the work area and the consumer unit, and tell us about anything that could affect the job, such as known faults or asbestos. Power will be off during parts of most jobs.
